Man my .44 at Crete isn't looking so good anymore.
When I starting driving a year ago I did a lot of research and the pay was nothing like it is today.
Here's some links...
Prime pays noobs .43 in their midget freightshaker trucks.. still a good deal coming right out of school: http://www.primeinc.com/paid-apprenticeship-cdl-training
Landair has a midwest/southeast regional paying .49 and you only need 6 months experience http://drivingjobs.landair.com/jobs...driver-home-weekly-fl-ga-md-nc-oh-pa-sc-tn-va
BTC flatbed pays .50 plus bonuses http://www.builderstransportation.com/
If any of you out there are getting paid under .40 doing OTR I think it's time to do some research and take your talents elsewhere.
I think finally carriers I starting to wake up to the fact that if they want drivers they're gonna have to pay more, so far I don't mind.
Don't worry though.. you can still jump on an early morning east coast flatbed account at Schneider paying "up to" .34 http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...schneider-going-flatbed-offering-drivers.html
Pay skyrocketing? Prime pays noobs .43 & Landair trucking pays .49 on regional! WTF?

It's obvious who Prime wants, It's drivers, not about hauling freight.
Who would you rather transport your product with. Threw in ABF for the "dry van " Prime can't always do reefer runs.
MCT sure looks more like a freight carrier then Prime. lol

Grijon and blairandgretchen Thank this.

Last company I worked for paid $25.00 for the stop, plus $12.00 hr. detention after one hour and some other pays. CPM was only .36 cents, but still made $65K per year. I took a month off every year to travel overseas and still made that much. Drivers that didn't take as much time off were making $72K per year.Grijon, truckon and already gone Thank this. -
Some companies are starting to pay off the odometer too,
keep an eye out for this.
Its a double ripoff if your getting low cpm and getting slammed with zip to zip
or HHG miles.blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
That's the only way they know how to keep drivers. Maybe good pay + treating a driver like the human being they are would go a long way to keep people doing this as a CAREER instead of a stop gap.
BoyWonder and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
Who's that FICA dude and why is he taking so much of my money?
XCELERATIONRULES, unloader, bigred81 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Totally different category there.
But that's the way to way -
Point is one year ago I got job offers from Werner, Schneider and RE West... ALL for .26 CPM doing OTR
Rates across the board are rising now. -
