Prime owns Wil-Trans. I think they bought them a little while back. I know they're getting rid of their trucks. Petes and KWs.

I met a young driver from the denver area running for wil trans a few weeks ago,I posted it somewhere. He was making it work for him but running over 4000 miles a week coming home every three to four weeks.Prime supplies all his loads, plenty of work, but he runs really hard, thats all I am prepared to say,but if you don't have a lot of bills and you want to own a nice truck, some of the hard runners have actually paid off that truck there. He was driving a newer style pete, looks like the t2000 kw,forgot that model.I got their contract a few years ago, will trans will send you one in the mail, that was a plus for them as most don't tell you all the details, they did. At the time didn't want to be obligated for a long time. Hope I helped you a little there.

If you were considering working for Wil-trans, why would you not just cut out the middle man and go to work for Prime? That is all that Wil-trans is is a glorified owner operator that pulls Prime frieght. And I might also add, it is usually the scraps that Prime's dispatchers don't want for their own trucks.

I personally think that Darryl Wilson(the owner/president) is a condescending prick, but many of his drivers tend to like him. That is just my opinion and I will say that I have not had any dealings with him for over ten years.

May want to go with what you can get at first, as it is difficult getting trucking jobs when you live that far down in Florida. I use to live in Bradenton, and that is even too far down the state!
