in training and have to leave, am I screwed?

Hi, I am in my 3rd week of training with one of the major carriers and something has come up that will require me to leave and not finish training. I will have to move near a close relative and take a job close to home to help care for them. Will I be labeled a quitter and unable to get a job driving in the future? Thanks

Have you signed a contract? If so you will be required to pay that money. Is it a carrier ran school? Maybe you can talk with them, if its a large company they may have something local for you.

Pay what money? I got my CDL from one of the mills, I realize I will have to pay the tuition back, I'm just wondering about any future employment.

so you have your cdl right ? then went to a carrier for training to drive , right ? if this is your first company and don't have a history of quiting jobs and you have a legit reason, maybe even in writing, then no it will not harm you.

You're only screwed if you don't tell them what is going on.
