I was impressed by the presentation given in my Trucking school, and am curious about knowing whether or not this would be a good Trucking company for a driver with a new license to start OTR experience?

I am also Considering CR England, Covenant, Werner, and Schnieder. Im certified PTDI (Pro Truck Driver Institute).

Why would you even consider CR England or Convenant? Those 2 have terrible reps. CRE is considered about the worst of the worst.

Never hear a thing about Fortune. No news is good news. Of the list of prospects you gave...I would contact Fortune first; and if they accept you, throw that list as far into the nearest river as you can.

I pass by their terminal on 60 in Windom here and there when I head west from my company's terminal in New Ulm. They've got a lot of nice trucks there, looks like late model freightliners mostly. I Was getting live loaded next to one of their drivers back in the spring, said he was happy with the company. Also said he was home every weekend, too. Their running lanes look easy too. According to their website, most of their frieght stays within the Great Plains. Those other companies you listed, excluding Schneider, are all worthless, garbage outfits. You can do a heck of a lot better. I'd say give fortune a shot. Good luck!

Ty all for the advice. I went ahead and filled out a application for Fortune. It said they would contact me in 48 hours. If not I'll give them a call.

Just that u can make good $$ pulling water out of there! Between $56k-63k or more. But that little triangle (artesia, Carlsbad. & Hobbs) is where all the $$ at for gas and oil. Also in the same field would be Farmington but that's if u want to do flatbeds.
