I live in Virginia but I want to move to a desert climate for health reasons (allergies, arthritis, etc). Are there any decent companies either in AZ or have a lot of freight there? Please don't say Swift!

Are you talking local or OTR based out of Az. ? Phoenix is a big base for trucking with boo-coo carriers either based there or that have operations there. Lots of freight moves between Phx/L.A. harbor. (about a 7 hr ride)

OTR based out of AZ. I know there must be a ton of companies, but I was hoping somebody could recommend a good one.

What about Las Vegas; the weathers great there! A desert climate, cheap houses/apts. No personal income taxes.
Watkins-Shepard has a terminal in Las Vegas.

Pride Transport hires in AZ and NV. Trucks equipped with XM radio, satellite TV, refrigerator, 100% no-touch freight.

    Jim Palmer Trucking
Schneider has a new terminal in Phoenix. I like Phoenix, but the air is filthy; not good if you're having health problems.

Casa Grande, AZ: (cleaner air than Phoenix)

    JBS Carriers
    Renzenberger Inc.
    Shamrock Foods (milk tanker)
    Mesilla Valley Transportation

If you don't mind running containers, Duncan & Son has a pretty good rep.

hmmm, I hadn't really thought about Vegas, I certainly don't have anything against it.
Didn't know about the air quality issues in Phoenix, thx for that info. Never pulled a tanker before but open to anything. Good suggestions, thank you!

Never pulled containers, is there some reason I wouldn't want to? I guess I'd need that extra security check (forget what they call it) to go into those areas?
