Talked to them a while back. All I recall is you haul office furniture out and produce back.

I think it's Steelcase office furniture; am I correct? Haven't seen Van Eerden trucks in awhile; used to be fancy and fast.

Not sure which of their regions your looking at.

See them all the time @ the produce places in Salinas.

Have you done refer before? The time sitting in or waiting for docks can kill the deal.

From their history page they evolved from a family with a produce/food service company. You would most likely be focused on dragging produce and frozen product to Michigan for the other family business and then whatever it takes to get you back for another load. Similar to my current gig.

Do not have any knowledge of them as a company to work for.

What they offered us was picking up furniture from Michigan then taking it to Washington then picking up a reefer load going back to Michigan. We've done reefer before.

If I'm not mistaken the teams get studio sleeper trucks too.

Washington state has some descent for the driver refer freight.

Krusties waffles and McGriddles are made in Seattle
Pasco has some big potato processors ... not as bad as produce
Walla Walla has a Tyson beef plant .... tightly run via appointments with fast load times

My bigest concern would be running I84 and I80 all winter long..........

They do a LOT of west coast trips. I rarely see them east of Michigan. Their trucks do about 68 mph. All of their KWs are indeed studio sleepers. Most of their drivers seem happy with the company.. Just my 2¢

Believe they said Herman Miller furniture. Steelcase has shrunk down tremendously.
