Most embarrassing moment as a trucker.

I lost a load of about 20 joints of 4" dwv pipe off of my one ton after leaving one of the branch locations of the company I worked for. In traffic after making a left onto hwy 90 in lafayette

 

Running into the woods with a roll of paper towels on side of a busy road.

 

Walking out of the restroom as a lady walked into the woMens room.

 

back in the early 90's I walked into a small truck stop up by Green Bay with my shirt on backwards..

The girl at the fuel said something about it I played it off as "yeah I know, I lost a bet"..

and people think the state of the world is ok

 

Your home asleep and the alarm goes off.
You look at the clock and realizes the clock time tells you are to be at work by now.
You jump out of bed, grab your close and run to the door.
Your misses wonders what the hell your rushing out of the house for as you run past her.
You give a quick kiss to her and say you have to get to work in a hurry.
She says but why, but you did not hear her.
You jump in you personal car and race to work.
Luckily for you the traffic is unusally light.
You get to work, and rush in the door.
You run to the dispatch office to grab the truck keys and dispatched loads paper work for to day.
Your breathing hard and heavy.
Then the dispatcher passes you the truck keys and asked you, "What are you doing back here so soon, didn't you leave here 2 hours ago?"

You stop and look at the clock on the wall again and realized you just left work two hours ago and had a power nap and set the clock wrong.

"Ya , I left something in the truck by mistake,
I'll drop the keys back in a few minutes."

FACEPALM.

 

Sleeping on the steering wheel on the on-ramp when the truck parked next to you starts to pull forward and you peek over because you heard the air brakes release and you raise your head in a panic and reach for your brake release buttons just to find they are already set and you wonder wtf I'm not rolling backwards....

 

I loaded a load of construction materials out of the median on I95 south of Jacksonville, FL one lovely afternoon in 1993. By the time I got everything strapped and tarped I was covered in dirt. I bounced onto I95 out of the median going north bound and pulled into the first rest area. I ran into the restroom and began washing my arms and face and as I was scrubbing I noticed in the mirror that there was a woman standing behind me. I stopped and asked her if I was in the wrong restroom or if she was. She said she was in the right one and laughed. I ran out of there like a shot and found the men's room on the other side. I failed to notice that Wo in front of the men when I went in...ooopsss!! Pretty embarrassing moment.

 

Telling my mother I became a truck driver.
