Around here the older Mclane equipment is pretty nice (East Texas). The drivers are mostly clean cut, and I have seen more than one getting out of the rig to smoke.

Most grocery carriers take pretty good care of their equipment because power unit downtime usually means an expensive rental, or displacing another driver to deliver a backup.

Mclane suneast grocery division (central Florida) were unfortunately the worst trucks I've been in. They ran the 9400 Eagles with isx and Columbias with series 60. I was on the extra board so I slip seated. Number one issue were transmission/clutch related, most were roach infested, some would sputter at low rpm. It just seemed like maintenance no longer repaired them, when I was there they were starting to trade them in, but the conditions the trucks along with some of the trailers were in was appalling for being such a wealthy company.
