I was talking with a recruiter from Don Hummer and she told me that I would be able to get a .10 cpm bonus for each mile run north of the Maryland line ,, it's paid out each quarter,,, did I hear her correctly, if so there has to be a catch cause that has the potential of adding up ,,,,

Can't help you there but just remember... You're talking to a recruiter and they need drivers in order to make a living..... It's hard to say weather the recruiter is telling you the truth or not, I'm sure the only thing that matters most is they have a warm body to drive their money maker for them

why quarterly? sounds like their should be more to the story...you should just get the extra .10 on the next pay check

North of Maryland and East of I-81. So a trip to NYC will get you about a $35 bonus, round trip as you drive through that bonus zone. Don Hummer starts you on a lower base pay, then gives you add on's like the NE bonus. I was interested in Hummer but as others have said, add on pay (mpg, OTD and safety) should be paid out over a shorter time from than per quarter to make it attractive.

Huh, Dad lives west of I-81 in Buffalo and he gets it to go home. He also doesn't get approved to run the Indiana and Ohio Turnpikes as much, so that may be the catch right there.

I was looking into them as well. They run automatics and can't gurantee a standard. Also wanted me to rent a car and drive from western, Ma to iowa. Not only that I never agreed to anything and I got an email about a rental car and I was to be there that Monday after the weekend. Oh, and that its like .40 base pay per miles only the .10 bonus is for the north east. Bunch of Bologna and I've been around long enough that if it smells like trash, sounds like trash, most likely your about to get on with a trash outfit.
