Is anyone a driver merchandiser for them? Ive read a couple of threads here and on indeed but im looking for more info. I have a job offer
from them and they offered a good hourly rate but i wanted to know more on the lines of how much id make weekly
And how their benefits cost for a family. I currently drive an end dump and make 1k a week if it doesnt rain working 6 days a week.

Hummm when I worked driving a beer truck I was probably making close to what you made driving an end dump. Should be able to do okay at Coke. Food service trucking you'll do better, but food service especially broad line can be a tremendous pain in the behind so much so that you'll be left of center wondering the value (my current predicament) as Suzan Vega once said. You'll have a better life at Coke to be honest I think. My money was less when I did beer, but my quality of life was a tad better I will say that much, but life's about taking chances at times, nothing ventured nothing gained the great thing about it, is if it doesn't work out especially in this industry you can always try something else.

What kind of Coke are we talking are we talking an independent Coke bottler like we have here in Cleveland or a Coke Bottler that's owned by Coca Cola it's self.?

If you read my thread on how the beverage distribution business works you'll learn all about the ins and outs of beverage distribution it's more complicated then some would think or realize.

Im not sure if its independent. Its in dfw. The starting pay is 18.96 an hour my problem is that ive been reading that they dont pay time and a half for overtime. I dont
Have a problem working a lot of hours but not if theyre not gonna pay 1.5x. They said good benefits and 3 weeks vacation of the bat. I actually read your write a couple of days ago it was very informative.
They told me their work week is 5 days a week to train and after 4 days a week. So in looking at maybe 40 to 50 hours a week

you,ll be working 4 tens. loved that shift when i worked for coca cola in sylamr ca. when the grocery store went on strike, boss put us on 5 8's and stayed that way. but i was only a driver. 24.00/hr with overtime. union dues was like 60 a month and medical was around 50/mo. just for me. worked there for 13 yrs b4 getting terminated. but loved the job. you'll meet some interesting, nice, and also some rude store owners, managers,or receivers.

Here is the secret,,if you are willing to get out of the truck and do some physical work the money is better, many beverage companies have a low turn over rate and pay hourly plus so much per case,,plus you will have regular working hours off weekends and home every day

I dont mind doing physical work but im sure the company here isn't union so i believe after 40 hours they do something called a bonus and not ot n the pay is like 7 an hour for the first 20 hours over 40
I might go and give it a try hopefully the benefits are as good as they say

Piece of cake these days .
Back in the day when I worked for a independent Coke distributor I had to maintain my old piece of crap International or I would not be working for the day.Biggest pain I had other than the crap trucks was 16 OZ returnable glass bottles that the little foreign owned grocery stores would throw out back in a pile and I had to sort and case them because they were lazy slobs.

But those days are long over. I always envied the beer guys they made less money but drove brand new trucks.

I work for a independent Coca-Cola bottler. I started as a driver trainee with just a permit then got my license with their help, that's about my only positive experience with them. The bottler I work for is low pay, the worst equipment I've seen in a Coke outfit. I work 50-60 hours a week usually.
