| Good luck finding it Good luck finding such a lease. There are reasons it's also called the "Fleece Operator", and I'm sure you're aware of those reasons. I'd buy my own rig and do the O/O thing right off the bat. I'd never do the Fleece thing. There's just too much of your destiny you must put in your company's hands. If your company doesn't like you for some reason......

With the narrow restrictions and limits you are placing on this, I can think of no one that might fit the bill. Good luck finding something like this. |

| "1. No Volvo's or Century Class Freightliners. Ok I am picky." If your planing on becoming a lease operator you will be fighting for every penny. Please note that the two trucks you have eliminated from consideration have the best aerodynamics, in particular the Freightliners. You may look good in that Pete longnose or KW900, but you will be throwing away $20,000 year or more in fuel. If you want to be successful in this business you better have a good business plan and make your decisions based on solid research. Looking at lease companies and refusing to drive a Freightliner is a good indication that you haven't really looked to carefully into things. Beware, many drivers go bankrupt making rash decisions. Good Luck

| I have a quetsion, why would you not want to drive a freightliner? they are one of the best rated bussines class trucks on the road. Be money smart and spend it in the best way you can. No Canada, and flex home time. If you wont Go where the Freight is and make the money as a lease driver then you should stick to being a company driver. As a lease driver or O/O the key to making a profit every week is, Keep the left door closed and don't spend your money on the BS you dont need. Best of luck brother. |

| bigfoot,do yourself a favor and stay away from the lease purchase program. No matter how good the programs sound you will be at the mercy of the company. If you really have the bug to be an O/O,go out and buy a truck and the lease it on with a respectable company. Most of the drivers I have talked with that are on the lease purchase deal, will never own that truck.Way too many sand traps along the way.And you wanna pick out a new Peterbilt, well best of luck to you. |

| I was going to buy my own pete (yes, i know about the fuel usage!) and my wife was going to get her brokers license. In all honesty i'm afraid to lock myself into doing such a thing. TMC takes good enough care of me, and i'd imagine that after the truck payment, fuel, and all the extra's were paid i'd be bringing home the same or even less. I can pump 500.00 worth of fuel into my bad girl now and laugh, because it's not my bill!!!! |
