No, he sounds like your typical UPS driver.

I started with UPS when I was a senior in high school. I worked there 3 years as a unloader and then got bumped up to a spotter, but I couldn't live any longer only working part-time. The shift was 5pm-9pm and they had a 11yr wait to get a route as a driver. Now this was at the hub I worked at and it was a small one. But oh well, I make more than his $65k claim anyways.

There are plenty of jobs that pay well in transportation and others that pay peanuts. You don´t need to waste $65 bucks on some scam book.
Do your homework, research your options and you will find what you need.

Hey, guys, you are making this WAY too complicated. I have no problem with somebody writing an e-book, or even making money off an e-book.

    HOWEVER...

Whatever happened to the days that we would ask the older guys for advice? If you want to make $ 65,000 driving trucks, why not find an uncle, a boss, or somebody else who is already doing it and ask them how they do it?

Most of the older hands are VERY happy to share their experiences. Why not buy one of them lunch and absorb their knowledge?

We did 65K and then some one year as a team, the money went to the same household so... that worked out well.

What bothered me was the wife was paid 200 some odd dollars each week during training when lumpers added up to more than that.

We pretty much learned to do drop and hook or specific shippers that return straight to home base. That reduced much of the lost money and time. Kept the wheels rolling.

    free spirited1 Thanks this.
