FFE/AEL/Lisa Motor lines. What do you know?

Would like to hear from anyone that has worked or is working for FFE/American Eagle/Lisa Motor Lines. I'm starting school next week that I am paying for but I'm short about $700.00. An FFE company Lisa Motor lines offered to pay the shortage contract free so long as I work for them first, # .30cpm after training. I really don't want to go this route but there would be no contract and they will reimbirse some of what I have paid. KLLM offered .34cpm for me to find a way to pay the shortage and will reimburse as well so long as i get my HAZMAT endorsement. Then there's Maverick I really like this company but I'm not sure if they make runs into north Texas. Would appreciate input from all? Thanks

I curently work for Lisa Motor Lines. I really like it. I have just suffered my first break down. I got an older truck that was in Denver. 2005. It is getting ready to be turned in so I get a new truck. I am staying in the hampton inn and have had all expenses paid plus I get 75.00 a day. They were great about handling everything.

What happened was I took the truck in for a PM and when Lisa does a PM they do a DOT inspection. I had a leak in the steering gearbox. Lisa downed the truck. The only thing I had to do was take it to the dealership. Now I am in a hotel (100 a night) and taxi paid for. THey repowered the load and will have another load when my truck is down. Sometime today.

They have treated me with respect and have been really nice about making sure my truck is safe and clean. When I picked it up they asked me to go get it detailed!!!

I love this compnay. I had 8500 miles in 2.5 weeks. I am really happy with them.

They do take students. They run 10 speed eaton transmissions in 2005 or newer trucks. Freightliner Century S/T.

I like the company as you can tell. Feel free to ask any questions you might have. I may not answer right away as I like to be on the toad an managed to leave my computer at home. I am staying in a hotel right now that has intertnet access so I will try to answer as soon as I can! You can also call them and ask for Denis Rivard. He is their head recruter and nice guy.

I will call them,... It looks like I live right on one of "Freight Networks" Do they have dedicated accounts and or regional work? I see many of their trucks here in middle TN. What advantage do you see over going with FFE? Thank You

Lisa freight

Lisa pulls a steady bunch of freight from Murfreesboro, TN & takes a lot of meat to Birmingham, AL.

I used to work behind a desk for them (Lisa) for a few years. They don't have much dedicated/regional work, most of it is nation-wide. They only guys they had doing dedicated had been there for more than a decade and were pulling swinging meat. (They NEVER put rookies on swinging meat loads) Most fleet managers at Lisa were good about keeping you in an area you knew if you needed to be in that area for any reason. They were good about home time if you just let them know in advance.

A driver could stay in the south easily if you ran beef out of the TX Panhandle to AL & FL & then running stuff out of Murfreesboro & FFE orange loads out of Lakeland, FL back to Fort Worth. Run them on time & you could find yourself on a semi-dedicated route with thier regualar contract freight & going through the same lanes.

I do not know alot about Lisa even though we are owned by the same Corp. I work for FFE. I wish I had the same happy ending as Marine when my truck broke down. I sat in a hotel in BFE for almost 2 weeks on my 75 a day writing a comcheck every day for the room. My payroll has still now recovered. However, I will say that the prople I work with are awesome. My fleet manager is top notch. And when Walter or Bob (Big Bosses) say they will do something for you, come hell or high water its gettin done.
