i was a company driver for Keim, i can second that notion on the 1000 a week. it was normal for that paycheck. i did not turn down any loads and ran my butt off for them. i was out for the week, just as well work and make some money! it is possible, i agree Keim is an excellent company!!

i believe they start out at 25%, i am not sure about the training period, i myself did not have to go though training. i was getting anywhere between 3,000 and 4,000 miles a week. the freight is there and the company lets you run. they have two pay packages there. mileage pay and percentage, i went percentage. the mileage pay guys ran the same miles as i did.

glad to help a fellow driver, especially someone just coming in to the business. if you do end up training, listen and learn. all their trainers are very knowledgeable and courteous. if you have a problem, just talk to them. a lot of new drivers get upset about something small and can be worked with, but instead they just quit. do not do that, talk to your dispatch. if they can not help, stan, the owner, has an open door policy. keep up the good work keep in touch with them. need any help post a reply and i can help ya out.

I used to drive for Keim, probably 30 years ago.
I enjoyed driving for them. They were a good company, nice equipment,
the checks were always good, and loads clicked. Not much down time.
Being a woman driver back then (there were not to many of us), I have to say I was treated no different than anyone else that worked for them,
and that was with respect and fairness.
Hopefully you have found work by now, and I am sure that if you would have called Keim and talked with them they would have considered hiring you again.
It has been a long time since I drove for them, but they have stayed in business, that has to say something.
If I were to go back out on the road again, I would consider working for them again.
    Take care!

yes, keim is strictly flatbed, they do have a couple of van trailers that they use for their Mac account, i think they might have 4 or five. as i have said before in this thread, this company is top notch. there are few companies out there that will treat you with as much respect as this one. to the people that still think gumby is there and messing things up, well your prayers were answered, he is no longer with keim. he has not been with them for about 2 years now. recruiting is handled by Ruth now, i believe. any more questions feel free to post and i will answer.

if u are looking at keim i would look a little harder at different companies number 1 u will have a hard time getting your vacation number 2 u will have one dispatcher that runs off new drivers dont beleive me ask some of the drivers number3 they dont follow through what they say they dont really care about drivers family there agin ask some of the older drivers stan himself likes yelling at drivers just like the dispatcher i mention a trucker style boot camp
