There is nothing wrong with Keim TS. Message me and I will be more than happy to give you details. The trucks are newer model KWs and they pull nice 53' aluminum trailers. I went through orientation with them, and a very brief training session (I already came with experience, but was out of the game for a while).

I have had absolutely no problems getting home at all. The terminal is nice and so are the people. I have the chance even to talk to one of the owners a few times. No one ever screamed at me or treated me poorly as indicated above. Very personable and likable person. They know how to run a flat bed outfit and do not get sidetracked with silly pre-hire rituals nor do they make you spend your down time polishing and cleaning your truck. They are all about business. They do not get wrapped up in all the ridiculous crap like other flat bed carriers. They have given me good miles and treated me very well. Feel free to message me if you want more information. They will work with you....however, if you opt to act like an ##*clown and not do your job....make no mistake they will show you the door.

I got on with system transport out of Spokane wa, very good company, they treat drivers right, flew us around to get to orientation and our trainers and treated us like people not dumb kids, flip side is they expect you to have common sense and take direction/follow instructions but far better than most I've dealt with, most of their fleet is made up of long term employees 4+ years a lot have been around 10 plus

The Keim Trucks are 13 speed manual. If you live in Alabama you might want to consider our Jasper TN Terminal. They will take you our on a road test just like any other company would. If you can still drive a stick with no issues they would probably send you right out on your own truck. You would have to have that discussion with the safety department. It will probably hinge on your road test.

Otherwise they might send you out with someone for about a week to let you get the feel of the stick again, and to make sure you are good to go on the stick. All they ask is that you run the truck in a safe and responsible fashion. We use T-Check cards and we can fuel where we want.

    Tell them #1510 sent you:yes2557:

    Give them a shout:smt038

Yes Keim does have prepass with ezpass. no apu as they trade for new trucks every 3 years and it is not cost effective for them. and yes, I bring my truck home most every weekend and I live 175 miles from the main terminal.

There are no APU on the trucks. However, the 2015 trucks have ESPAR bunk heaters in them. Some of the other power units might have ESPAR heaters but I am not sure. They work great. They have a bonus they give based on your idle and fuel. :biggrin_25525: The newer trucks get pretty good MPG.

The unit I am driving has a 13 spd. All the trucks are stick. No automatic Transmissions in their fleet! (thank god)

I have my personal opinion about automatic transmissions, and I do not like them. When properly driven a stick will always operationally out perform automatic transmissions, including MPG. A skilled driver also will have much better control with a stick. I believe alot of the bigger companies are going to automatic transmissions because they cannot find good drivers that can properly drive or pass the road test with a stick. Basically it the industries (mega fleets) response to the driver shortage to help (dumb down the core skill set of the drivers to help in the hireing process; Road Test). This is just my opinion.
So far a I have been getting by my house every weekend. Since I live right in the middle of their freight lanes it does help.:biggrin_255:
