don"t know much about celadon.
i would stay clear of marten, they don"t think twice about wasting your time for little or no pay. that is the nature of the reefer bussiness. but this especially holds true at marten.
the miles are not their either

I would say Celadon if you have them 2 choices. I will say I work for one of them 2 though. PLease don't let me help you make your decission, I am simply saying between them two I would chose Celadon.

I will state also (as you can see my name why I would do this) we do expect you to run legal and LOG LEGAL (NOTARPS). We don't do logs off the qualcom, but the Dispatchers do monitor your hours and will shut you down if you are getting close to your 11 or 14 hour.

That's a good thing though, we only expect you to take all loads legally, if you can't do it legally then you need to tell them. Now don't use legal as an exscuse because well we can tell

Good luck and let me know if you decide Celadon (via pm so I don't forget to check this thread). I might be teaching you # some point

Tell me (and others) why Marten is so bad, All I keep hearing is "they are bad", "they are bad". but tell me why. I'm not here to defend them or criticize but I am curious as to how or why you think they are so terrible

according to information i recieved outside of this forum, marten does a lot of business with grocery warehouses. the info i got on grocery warehouses is you sit a lot waiting in line either to get loaded or unloaded. most of this time is without pay. so you wind up using your sleep time waiting so you dont get rest you need, then you have to run tired and sleeping to try and make up the pay you didnt get waiting, and as we all know time is something that can not be made up. marten is no exception to this. although i'm sure there is drivers from there that would disagree, but thats the info i recieved.

I am familiar with grocery warehouses and the pitfalls associated with them. 100's of carriers service them, some are good and some are bad. I am asking why Nahmakmata is so set against Marten

yeah thats about right. you get to give the first two hours of detention for free. but show up two hours late and you can get bumped to the back of the line and sit all day and not get payed. after two hours you get twelve dollers a hour. big deal thats burger flipin wages. then skip your break time to run the load so it is on time at the other end.
marten has a few drop & hooks at some ends but hardly enough.
maybe someone currently working their can and up with their driving hours for the week and match them to their detention hours for the week . they would probobly be almost the same.
