I just started with Crete and I would recommend them! Yes, its true, they make you LOG LEGAL. I'm still getting used to it, but I figure I better get used to it because in the next 2-3 years EVERYONE will have to log legal or they will be looking for another occupation. DRIVE SAFE

I drive for Crete's sister company (one of them anyway). Since the operations merged last month there isn't any real difference anymore. Everything is the same except what we haul. Even that is becoming a blurred line.

I get excellent miles so long as you move the truck as fast as you LEGALLY can. I get paid more here based on my experience than anywhere else. Don't know of a place where a person with 1 years worth of wheel knowledge can start at over .40cpm and hammer in 2700 to 3200 miles a week.

This week I nailed 3700 miles (some carried over from previous Friday).

The bad. Since the merge things have gotten pretty bad. Some is plain foolish on company part. Some is that we drivers don't like change when things were going smooth. So until it irons itself out, there is going to be ######## on both sides.
Trucks are governed to 65 and ninth gear is castrated. We can't pull hills or slight grades without gearing down. Maintenance isn't all that great but with enough force on the drivers side you can get it to happen.

Never been shorted on a check, benefits are good. 401 could be a little better but it's decent. Most terminals are good, some should be shot to be put out of their misery though.

No passengers in the trucks sucks big time. Only family is allowed in a ride along. Pets are allowed if you got one. If you go to the Crete website you can see just about everything on the company. Some of it needs to be updated. There isn't a bonus anymore on dispatched miles. That went bye bye after a law suite came about. They converted that into a pay increase for everyone.
Most everything else is very accurate. One thing I really liked is that they get you a rental car to the hiring process and you get your own room. No dog riding and room sharing with this company.

    That's my two cents.
I have my complaints (as stated) but it's still a good company all in all. It could be worse. I still work with them even with all their faults. And yes, if you try to fudge on your logs, you will find somewhere else to work on your own dime.
