Has anyone ever worked for this company. I believe they are a nation wide trash hauler. Hauling garbage in open top trailers to the landfill. They have a terminal not to far from me and I am looking for a mechanics position. Just wondering how the company is to work for and how there equipment is?

MBI is what you make of it. Yeah you have to crawl in some trash to tarp loads with a mesh tarp and spend most of your time in a landfill or transfer station, but you are home every night and have weekends off for the most part. Sometimes there is a Saturday involved but rarely. Pay is not bad for being home in the evening. Gross is close to three digits or just over. You will work 12 hour days so if you don't like long hours this isn't the place for you. Equipment is Kenworth day cabs, fairly new and maintenance where i'm at is great, right on top of things. If I had a complaint it would probably be about working Saturdays and not having automatic tarps. I would think a company this big would be able to put auto tarps on their trailers. Guess they're just trying to save money and downtime maintenance. Sure would make the job easier though. Not to keep harping on the tarp issue, but having auto tarps would allow for another load or possibly two a day. That's more $$$$$ in everyone's pocket.
Quietriot6960 Thanks this. -
I currently work there. been there for about six mths. now havent had any problems yet. equipment, maintenance and pay ok could be better. Home every nite dont work weekends unless you volenter. like the other driver said the only complaint is it would be better with auto tarps. but i guess a little exercise wont hurt anybody.

I'll have my 5 year anniversary next April(And I'll be the only one who knows or cares about it) -
A friend ust retired from there this past year. He enjoyed it, and also he did roll off's in the Ohio area. Now and then he was have to take a run to the FL area and hotel the whole way there and back. Did not care for the KW's. Noticed a couple of weeks ago saw some MBI trucks in the IL/IN area, pulling dry boxes and tanks. Also noticed some new trucks with sleepers. Do not know what is up with that.
