Swift to buy out FFE?

I drove into this conversation this week on the CB. Was curious if anyone else had hered about it? I work for FFE and I know we have a huge LTL division and we all haul reffers. But, FFE also owns American Eagle Line, which is Dry Van, and Lisa Motar Lines which is dry and Reffers, so im not to sure. I asked around our yard at Dallas and they said they have hered that rumor for 5 or 6 years. Anyone else know anything about it.

Rule #1 about using a G.P.S
You must first be SMARTER then the G.P.S

Rule #2 Sadly a lot of drivers are not.

FFE rumor

FFE had an exec embezzel lots of $$ & their stock was rated junk stock as a result (2-3 years ago). I think it's still not even worth $12/share.

FFE is owned by a family mostly & public as well. They began shopping a buyer in case they couldn't pull out of this big problem. Swift was the likely suitor (rumored), but it never came down to that. They pulled out enough cash to operate on, got that exec in jail & are running okay now.

FFE, Lisa Motor Lines, American Eagle are all running under the Conwell Corporation. Owned mostly by the Stubbs family. Good folks, but technically a public company.

Swifty buying FFE wouldn't make sense to me, why would they want all those refers? AE is the only branch that's dry van. Lisa & FFE are refer. I believe TransAm and one other were rumored to be in the bidding as well. All rumors, though.

I would believe Prime,Inc. a heckuva lot quicker than SWIFT. As Prime,Inc. has done purchased TRL. They are int the position to be the next big buying carrier, in the refrigerated market. Just a lil' IMHO.
