well I think it all depends on the company and what you are going to do with them...regional, all over, dedicated, local...etc.

IE...I work for Schneider, but Im on a dedicated account that has me home daily.

It also depends on where you live. If you have a terminal or drop yard near your home it makes it easier for the company to get you home. That is also why some companies have areas in which they do not hire. I have called several companies and been told that they would love to hire me but they would have a hard time getting me home where I live.

I agree. I love my gig with Schneider and the ability to be home daily...but if something happens and the accout is closed or whatever...Im out of luck. I dont even think I could go OTR with them with where I live. Lots of Schneider stuff goes through the state, but I don't think any actually stops here, lol.

Schneider is a company I would seriously consider driving for but they only hire teams in my state. I really am not interested in team operation, unless my wife or one of my sons wanted to join me.

Hopefully they keep your account.

Roehl by far is the best. That company has it stuff together. Thier training is top notch and thier equipment is awesome. Especially the international trucks. If you get one of those they run 68 mph. Plus Gary has the best dispatchers that are so honest and very friendly. Try their new 7-2 hometime program. You will always get home ontime and not be left out in the new england area. Go ahead, give them a call.
