Is HOW Wolding a good Company? I recently graduated from Truck School, got my class A, and worried about which companies are good, and which are bad. So far, I have been pre-hired by a few companies, and HOW Wolding seems to be the best fit for me. Best fit meaning that i have 2 small kids, and I don't want to stay OTR more than 5-6 days at a time for now. Only want to sacrifice OTR for 6mos to a year so I can get a local class A job back home. Everyone seems to want a year exp. so going over the road for a while seems to be my only option. Please give me some opinions on other choices for me and if you know about HOW Wolding give me the juice on them. Thanks!!!

They're doing something out to the west coast, with a drop yard in Flagstaff, Az. Drop yard may be the Little America T/S or the Pilot at Belleview, Az. This was in '08.

Alot of guys from W.H. Transport ended up there and some wish they had went with Roehl instead. Their billboard ad in Appleton says average $50,000 per year but website says 1st year drivers average $43,700. 2 weeks vacation after 4 years? I got two weeks after 2 years. Some of their trucks look like small bunks(48"). But maybe it might be a good place to start out.

All carriers are having problems now, so get what you can if promised in writing before you jump in. They are a heavy haul #50,000 loads are the norm hence the small sleepers. Read somewhere that they aren't taking Newb's right now due to lack of trainers and loads available. Anyway good luck in your search.
