High Fuel Prices = Less Benifits/Co Drivers

At the beggining of April, it was announced, at my company, that the quaterly safety bonus was canceled, reason, to help off set the high cost of fuel. (avg $1200/ qtr out of my pocket, have never miss one, thank God) and now our trucks are being re-govern from 65mph to 62mph, ouch! all things considered i can't see it any other way but $40 to $60 less out of an avg 3000 plus mile week. Combined total of over $7500 of less potential income doing the same or more amount of work and miles.
I totally understand their reasons and will take the bit out of the .......sandwich but O/O's are not the only ones hurting, they still have it worst, but we're also hurting. my thoughts.........

I hope it doesn't get worse...but it probably will

Every dollar they take away makes it less worth while to stay out on the road. I'm sitting at home where my wife is tonite wondering if it even makes sense to go back on the road. Trucking is unsustainable. JB is moving to intermodal because they recognize deisal isn't going back down in price. The only OTR dispatches I ever liked were coast-to-coast. They are going away.
