there are other reasons for closing

jevco ,also has a lot of law suits against them coming up .what there trying to do is close there doors so they can file bankruptcy so they dont haft to pay out big law suits against them .they are getting surcharges for fuel dont take what they say as the truth ,.there just as sarry as all the other companies that hide there true colors . the government is looking in to them closing there doors and not giving a 60 day notice to the employees .companies like this have been paying the lowest coast for fuel much less than any owner operator can get from truck stops.also by closing there doors and filing chapter 11 they will only haft to pay drivers if they have a law suite against them about .10 on a dollar and then they will take taxes out on that . there will be a lot more company's out here doing the same thing lawyers are telling these companies what to do ,they are just doing it on there on Ive seen this coming ,.its a part of business that most dont no about .its called survival keeping as much money by filing chapter 11 and covering up there true assets so they can keep there pockets fat with money and most there drivers wont ever see any moneys for there last timer out on the road .that's why they dont tell any of there drivers and others they are going to close so they can take all the money and hide under chapter11 .

Now thats a stretch, one trucking company closing its doors equals the coming of the North American Union.

Companies go out of business all the time.

Get a grip.

Jevic files for bankruptcy, shuts down
5/21/08
Quote:
NEW YORK, May 21 (Reuters) - U.S. trucking company Jevic Transportation Inc has filed for bankruptcy protection because of the tight credit market and high costs including the price of fuel, and has stopped its operations, according to its website.

Jevic, which specialized in less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments, was bought by an affiliate of private equity firm Sun Capital in July 2006.

The company, which employed about 1,500 people, filed for protection from creditors late on Tuesday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware.
"The current high fuel costs, economic downturn, increasing insurance costs, and tightening credit markets have made this decision necessary," Jevic's chief executive David Gorman said in a statement on its website.
