one thing you have to remember is that most drivers complaints are made out of anger or what happened is because they caused it. what works for one may not work for others. have a good attitude and do whats right and give it your all.

That is always my point. If someone researching a company only views sites like this, they will get askewed view. Many of the complaints on here are people "getting back" at a company. The best thing to do if researching a company is talk to real drivers (many on here complain about companies for which they have never driven) who are currently driving. Take some of the complaint material from here and ask for verification from people who are still driving for the company in question.

One thing that makes me laugh on here is that everyone wants to make money but they don't want the companies making money. Well folks reality is if the company doesn't make money it goes out of business and you have no job. Plus, in today's economy most companies are barely staying afloat. Week after week trade papers like Transport Topics list the operating margins for different companies and most are very low and many are in the negative right now.

you sound like a guy with more exp. than a year. you seem to have really done your research on all this and like most drivers out there are looking for the american dream.

Actually I am looking for a company with freight to keep me moving while away from home and gets me home when I need to get there. I want to be a benefit to that company because I know I have to do my best know matter what. And in my many years in the workforce, I have found if a person does their best and treats others with respect they will usually get respect in return.

you're right

And that is part of the problem I've found on some forums. The guys just seem to be bi****in' rather then just putting their head down and getting to work. Maybe just because I'm older but all companies have good and bad guys, things we would try to change if we could. But most of the time we only see the small picture, what effects our little world rather then what is best for the greater good of the company. I'm jsut rying to determine which companies are best by their nature and out look on business. thanks for your insight.

thats a good attitude to have. just do what is right and what your heart tells you and hope somebody does the same back to you. there are still very nice people out here but it seems they are getting harder to find every day.

Actually, I believe I have stated on this thread a couple of times, in response to those who have been touting Schneider that they fall in the same category as all the others, including the four choices listed by the poster of this thread. Some love them, some hate them. Schneider is no better than the rest. Again, any company is what YOU make it to be (and that goes outside trucking as well).

you know i have gathered that too.most lodge a complaint about a company but they fail to tell what prompted the treatment from that said company.they never tell you what responsibilty they had in causing the so clled mis treatment.i just dont believe a company would set out to screw you over for no apparent reason and you are making them money.some insights from some one else ?
