Does anybody have info for this company? anything would be good. I understand that they are willing to send you through their school.

My husband has been a company driver for Central Ref for the last 5 yrs. Except for their nitpicking, its not all bad. The lastest thing tho, is a fuel/idling contract all the company drivers had to sign back in May. Not signing was grounds for firing. They gave some figures as to what the idle time was supposed to be by the bean counters there. My husband said that he couldn't see how any of their plan was possible esp in the summer months. I told him to sign and see what happened. Well, what happened was, that we were charged back $341 for fuel costs since he went over their accepted idling time. Also, they have added an "opti-idle" to the computer onboard which shuts the truck off after an hour. Which means, that if he's sleeping, has to get up, turn the truck back and try to go back to sleep.
I'm not sure what the company thinks these drivers or their families are supposed to do. We expect a certain amt of money per week. Drivers get enough grief as it is, being gone, traffic, other truckers, no sleep, etc. etc. The company is pretty unsympathetic, too. I bet they don't turn off their AC or heat in Salt Lake when it gets hot or cold.
