no one will park next to a roehl trk unless there wanting a paint job, i drove for them and they don't hire truckers, they hire people mostly with no experience or brains, the ones with no exp and have brains leave after they get it, the others put up with there....ummm....lets just say it,s not a place you'll probably call home, but there are drivers there that do call it home, in all fairness, its not as bad as other mills, but never the less it's still a mill, one of these days they,ll (all the bigguns) will run out of a endless supply of drivers and will be forced to treat them better, right now we are a second class citizen in there eyes, but hey, get your college education, and you can make just as much as we do in the trucking industry, by sitting in front of a computer, you don't need to know trucking, just how to get the loads off a puter and screw your drivers to get your bonus, so you can go home every night, personnaly, i don't know why these guys wanna go home every night, most are very young, yeh that means they got kids, but i personnally think they wasted a education getting in trucking not to drive, they think they have a future, but in all reality, the co uses them as much as they do the drivers, there just to educated to realize it.

I owned my own co for 17 yrs, I hired a college grad handed him a broom, he looked at me and said....but i'm a college grad..........hmmmm, ok, let me show you how to use it.

now don't get me wrong, i'm all for education, but theres really no need for it in the trucking industry, esp dispatchers and planners

yep, machines are machines, however, when you have inferior mechanics maintaining them and fixing them, plan to spend alot on downtime that is totally unecessary because there paying 17 an hr for there so called mechanics, compared to 75 on up for somebdy that actually knows what there doing,

if you think hirng a expert is exspensive........wait till yo hire a amateur

i did most of the work on my roehl trk myself, just to avoid the hassel of sitting for days in thier maint dept, i was on the honors program i might add, so it didn't matter if i was sitting or not, i was paid the same salary, however,.....i'm not one that likes sitting even if i'm still getting paid to do it.

roehl as issues................alot of them

Yes, park next to a company with one of the highest safety ratings if you want a new paint job.

How do you find a place to park a semi? We don't live in a town with truck stops. Who do we ask? We need an idea of where to start.Do you have to pay to park it somewhere or are there places that will let you park for free? Sorry so many questions but this is something I haven't seen talked about on this board. TIA
