Well, I'm in the sleeper right now and I can say my only real problems are with the planners and with relay loads. I remember the bank did once mess up the direct deposit. Roehl apologized, fixed it, and left a voicemail saying if there were any overdraft charges incurred because of their error, they'd pay them. That sounds pretty stand-up to me.

The planners are struggling, Sunday I dropped a relay in Garland and had a preplan to p/up at Domtar in Ashdown on Monday at 3pm. I get to Domtar and that load was picked up two days earlier. So I get another preplan for a p/up at Domtar for today 9-9 at 3pm but I go in and give them that p/up number only to find out that load was picked up Sunday. I tell my DSR that and now I have been sitting in Texarkana for almost 24 hours and have been without a load for nealry 48. I am supposed to be home today also and home is 600 miles away and no load in sight.

Hate to break your heart, but there is no guarentee in trucking. If your several hundred miles from home and there is no freight headed towards your home then you are out of luck. It doesn't make sense to send you empty a few hundred miles at over 4.00 a gallon and 6mpg. They will make you sit and wait

I enjoy it very much, started at 40. You just have to know what your in for. If you expect to be home exactly when they tell you and expect everything to be perfect you will be angry alot of times. Just remember the trucks are machines and machines break. We are dictated by where there is and isn't freight. Just smile and go on. Get your year in and make sure you get all your other endorsments on your CDL during that year and you will open lots of doors.
