My husband recently talked to them and was told to check back in a month or so as they don't have any trucks right now.

Hey George! Vicki here... just finished school with you. Was just told yesterday that it'll be the end of Jan. before I MAY get put with a trainer. I filled out an app. with CRST and leaving for orientation on Monday. After 4 days, I'll be put in a truck with a trainer. Don't know about you, but I don't like the 'waiting game'. Let me know what you find out!! Shoot me an email if you still have it!

I worked for Milan for 4 years and just changed jobs last month. No one was hired to replace me. I worked in linehaul.
They seem to be having some problems. The reason I left was that they cut all pay by 10 percent and stopped all 401k contributions. I understand they have closed several of their terminals and have started laying drivers off.
When I started, it was a great job, dedicated run, home every day, great pay and bennies. They started doing unannounced lay down runs. I would be doing my regular night linehaul and when I would call dispatch, they would send me somewhere else on the spur of the moment and force me into a motel for a day. This was happening once ot twice a week when I left. I understand it is becoming more common and happening almost daily now. They hired new managers and seem to only care about the freight now. From the great family run, caring, quality business I worked for they seem to have become pretty non driver oriented. Along with the pay and benifits cuts, I would avoid them.
I would be cautious about going to work for them, as they seem to be in a hard transitional phase right now. The local terminal where I live is not taking applications.

Milan
Same exact treatment for me by Milan. Same opinion. I quit them in 2007 after most of my fellow linehaul drivers had been fired, quit, etc. Even management quit locally. The terminal now sits empty in the daytime and dispatch, such as it is, is done in Tennessee --and that's for local p & d drivers in the Gateway.
However, I found out it could be worse at another company. Its just ALL gone to h---!

They have a ad on Craigslist in Nashville right now. $800-1000 a week terminal to terminal, drop and hook.
1 year experience OTR. 401K, long term disabiltiy, 13 days vacation 1st year. 8 paid holidays.
Weekend work available. 400-600 miles a night, unless you are asked to do a lay over.
Better than what many are doing OTR right now.

I called and left a message with a recruiter tonight. They had an ad on Craigslist today. I am going to do an online application.
