They have been bought by tom joy and sons out of peshitgo wisconsin. They have those wonderful international 9400 with auto trans. No clucth pedal

Actually they haven't been bought, they just merged. There are actually a few Transcorr company trucks that used to be Joy trucks. I was leased to them before my engine took a crap. For three weeks I saw nothing less that 2400.00 after fuel and insurances. Good outfit, I'll probably go back soon.

I've been with them for about 3 months now and somewhat satisfied. I got into their lease program. 2005 387 Pete. $300 per week for 3 years. 64% to the truck + fsc of .27 - .32 per loaded mile. Freight has slowed down over the past few weeks, but over all they are good. I would give them an 8.5 out of 10.

Transcorr is the WRONG place for owner operators. They have bought new company trucks and new trailers. All the high paying loads are now going to company drivers. They are a forced dispatch company for owner operators. So if you like paying for all expenses for your truck and being treated like a company driver but get the slag loads then by all means this is the place for you.

Just for anyone that reads this in the future, if you live around Atlanta the Fairburn Transcorr yard is different. There are NO company drivers out of the Fairburn yard, all O/O and L/P. The trucks run good miles every week and are offered being home every weekend. The Fairburn Safety Manager, JC, is good about solving driver problems, he usually has his fridays devoted to solving any settlement problems drivers had, and he answers the phone to help drivers 24/7.
During the winter storms this year he was even about to jump in his pick up and run to Birmingham to pick up a driver that had crashed his truck on the ic on US-78.
As another poster mentioned, although it's an O/O company there are several people that own a fleet of trucks that you can drive for, and they do really good, actually one of the guys that does that owns about 10 trucks right now and has 3 of my fellow Firefighters driving for him.
