Unless they have changed, you sign up for 11 western and they will try to put you going 48, i have a friend that worked there, he was with digby already at the Fruitland Id shop hauling swinging meat, they shut that down and the drivers had to go to Cargo to keep their benifits, cargo and digby, navaho all the same company, he was to be on a dedicated run from boise to denver and back, that lasted 1 trip then they had him going all 48, if your truck needs worked on they will put you in a different truck each and every time, doesnt matter if its for service like oil change etc. if it needs worked on you spend the 30 minutes or longer moving to a different truck, some are not so nice there. some have ben wrecked and peiced back together. trust me i know. i have seen this first hand. anyway thats my 2 cents on cargo..

Is this a bad idea? It looks like it will get me my CDL and some exp., but is it worth it? Will I pretty much have to deal with the same stuff (or just different but equal stuff) anywhere else? I have been working in the food service business for 14 years, but have been laid off 3 times in 2 years because I need too much money to support my family (38,000), and well, we all know what the economy is doing right now. I need a better way to support my family. I know from growing up on a farm and driving trucks that I can do this job, and do it well, but I want to be treated as fairly as possible. It is a big thing for me to spend this much time away from my wife and 20 month old son, and I just want to make sure I am not making a mistake.

Anyone been driving for them or newbie that went to their school? Did talk to them & am taking everything with grain of salt & know from reading these forums what to expect starting out but am worried about ending up 48 states with this company & not 11 western out 7-10 days like they said could. Any input would be great! Thanks!

I went to work for cargo 2 years ago, and signed up for 11 western, right out of the gate they tried to put me 48 states, then the truck was missing not running right and the mechanic they HAD who is gone now refused to fix it so i left, a friend of mine worked there and was supposed to be on a dedicated route from boise to denver and back, one trip over to denver then they had him all 48, they have a new safety recruiter now and the dipatcher i had is gone, so not real sure how they are now, that just what i know about 2 years ago, so good luck, i know they have a rider program and pets allowed, they have 48 states 11 western and casual, good luck tho if you go with them, they also have a truck driving school, idaho provisioners.
