FFE drivers, current or recent

Can you tell me about FFE? I am thinking of going through their training school in Pine Bluff

How are the miles?

Trucks maintained well?

Hometime? (I live close to Dallas and their main office)

Do they pay unloaded or deadhead miles?

Any info would be appreciated

Thanks

BigD,

While I can't answer your questions. I can tell you, that you need to dig hard, and listen to anyone willing to answer your questions regarding FFE.

I worked with their recruiters over a 2 month period, and the more I listened...the less I liked.

They may be the best company out there. But they spooked the hell outta me.

Just an FYI.

Hey danc ..

what 'spooked' you specifically? I've searched all over and find very little info .. good or bad .. on them. Same with Lisa and AE ..

I know lonewolf is there now on his training period, hopefully we'll hear from him soon on how it's going.

Thanks

I was looking at a lease, with them. And they were very cagey about the numbers, etc etc.

So I asked about a company position. And they couldn't answer my questions to my satisfaction. And I talked to a few drivers that told me their paychecks weren't squat compared to what I was used to making.

I'm just not going to do OTR for chicken feed. I get paid to stay away from my family....not drive a truck. Anyone can do that, or learn.

While that shouldn't deter you. It detered me, as I have experience, and expectations of more from any company I work for.

Thats understandable, as a wannabe choices are pretty limited for me, as I do not have the funds to pay for CDL school, and the companies offering CDL training are few right now.

I understand that completely. Sometimes circumstances run our lives, more than we would like.

Just approach it with your eyes wide open, and you'll be fine.

Hey BigDFan,

Still very little info on FFE I see. You would think with all the drivers on this forum we'd have at least a few from FFE. Lonewolf just started with his trainer last week and reported a few times in the "Last Post Wins" thread .. it was going well .. but had only been a few days. Hopefully when he checks back in we'll get an update.

I'm like you .. just need to get started and pay my dues .. then I can get a little more selective. Luckily I found the money to pay for school and will start on Mon. Getting real excited!

Good luck!
