If you go to work for cargill make sure they dont pay by the hour or you wont be making short runs where you leave on sunday and get back on tuesday and no other work for the rest of the week. Only local runs should be paid by the hour, where as you should get at least 40 hours and not just 20.

was leased to them for around 5 years. quit about 4 months ago and kinda doing my own thing now. if you have your own trailer it is 85% or pull theirs and get 72%.

its not like it use to be there. safety was getting to strict about having to match time on fueling and making sure you took your full 10 hours off. i still talk to several people that are there and it is slowly going downhill. know some people that were there longer than me that are leaving and most of them are going on their own.

it was good money when we didnt have to match times and all that. when your a meathauler no such thing as a 10 hour break. any more questions let me know and im sure i could answer them for ya.

was leased there for about 5 years. got tired of the new guys getting better loads than i was getting. its not a bad paying company, just got tired of being told how long i could drive my own truck. was good when i started there but slowly got worse. still talk to a few people that work there and its not getting any better for them atleast.
hard to be a meat hauler and have to follow the 11/14 rules anymore.

used too be a good company, but greed has infested the upper ranks, the only reason they are still in business is because of driver ignorance, most drivers dont know how too figure there cost per mile and profit,I feel real bad for those drivers,i stuck it out, because they kept telling us it is the bad economy,a lot of good drivers left, but according too there csa they are not hurting for drivers almost 300,they cut paid dh, fsc.this company is worse then the .90cpm group.my days are numbered here.dont do it.my net profit since jan was .36cpm after fuel truck note and expen.
