Very True-you have years of experience over me E, but you know as well as I do, don't expect much in this industry, or you'll be due for a BIG disappointment! :biggrin_25512:

i been with them for 3 yrs. if you going to drive a company truck you do ok. but as a o/o you will lose. i have had loads pulled away from me so they can give it to the company trucks.seems like o/os are left with scraps. wasnt like this when i started. this started in the last yr.

i been with the 3 yrs and it is nothing like it used to be. they are closing down offices in texas and california even noticed they were auction off some equipment. when i first started with them i was getting miles but now its like you sit for a few days to get a load.if you are i know company trucks gets loaded first then we get left overs. it was a good company. but they do run new hires good for a month or two.i talked to a company driver was has been there for 23 yrs he said it fell apart when the old man retired. yes they are getting kws well i know they got about 75 of them. they are not what they used to be.

I am a company driver with cf,been here 3 months. So far I luv it this is my 3rd company I've driven for,and so far the best. Why? 1. I get frequent hometime, due in large part to the fact that most of their freight comes out of FL and and goes back to FL, I live in Columbus, GA so any thing going north a

(Continued from above) affords me that opportunity. I never have issues with getting home,I ask and my dm makes it happen, but like I said earlier, where I live makes it easy. 2. Miles are great, I like to run hard when I'm out avg between 2700-3200 and that's with e-logs. In the probationary period, which is 90 days i get 31cpm, but is going up next wk to 34cpm. Not great, but pays the bills and then some. I never sit, always have a preplan. All the dm's I've spoken with have been respectful towards me,and never rude. They do haul alot of GP lds but most are preloaded (except cedar springs) so far so good.btw I've worked for star transport out of Morton, il, heartland express and a smaller company that leased their trucks and so far cf is the best.

You mention Cedar Springs, I haul fuel wood in there and what a nightmare. I don't know what it is about that place but I can't catch a break, seems like everytime I go there the #### tippers are down and I end up catching hell in there for a few hours. But I guess without me they couldn't make the paper you haul, you can buy me lunch next time you're in there and leave it at the scale house:biggrin_25519: Either way I'll be headed up there Monday, Pritchett Trucking truck #1410, holler at me if you see me roll by, they call me "flip flop".

I've filled out the online app, and called today to follow up. They told me my app. was being processed. I've been out of the business for around a year (SRT 7 years)but from reading the forums nothing has changed much. Maybe the year off will not hinder my choices of companies. I just can't find any major "bad" stuff about this company. don't know if that is a good thing or not.
