To begin with I don't know a lot about them, and have not talked with any of their drivers for some time.

As far as the school goes you are better off going with an independant school and pay your own way. If they are paying the the way USA will want a commtment out of you for at least a year and could come to little more then slavery.

Thanks for the info

I know, I have checked at my local TSA and could not find any of their rigs. I am now considering a local community college if I can find the financial aide to go.

I go to school at North Metro Technical College and am enrolled in the commercial truck driving program. A former student went to USA and he said that he was out for 10 weeks in training, we are talking about a guy who is an excellent driver but kept getting thrown around. He went out with them and his trainer was horrible, when his traing was done (after 8 weeks) they told him a truck would be in Illinois waiting for him, when he got there all they had was a bus ticket to Texas for another truck that would be waiting for him. He finally gets a truck and they put him on the road for 3 weeks before coming home. He was out for 13 weeks without coming home. He went to werner and said that was an even bigger mistake and is now at a great company called Western Express.

Schneider has had an excelent program and has for years. They have turned around in there drivers relations and from what I understand are keeping more drivers happy...

Good luck in your training!!

That's a good wage, there are better paying jobs out there but I would not walk away from it...When I came off the road last year I was making .36/mile with 11 years experience..
