I've been looking at Martin Brower for awhile now. I had actually interviewed with them up in Manassas Virginia but they did not do transfers because of the union so I decided to wait until I moved out to Texas and just apply with them out here.

I've done a similar type of delivery with a company back in Virginia but I had a set route & schedule. I've heard that the first year at Martin Brower is pretty rough because you have to start out on the extra board doing whatever they want you to and working when ever they want you to.

I'm just curious if anyone has ever worked for them either out here in Texas or somewhere else and what your opinions are about them. How was your work schedule? How many hours did you work a week? How long did it take you to get a bid run? Any other info like that. I appreciate it everyone.

I work for Martin brower in port Allen, la and all I can say is stay away.... I been with them 4 months and have yet to get a bid route that they said they were going to start two months back.yeah they let you run shuttles or fill in on routes and your just the bottom an man with will call hours. Some days they don't call for three days out with nothing for you to do but I had them ask me to go help and work with their sister company Reinhardt and I told them Hell No!! I was hired for McDonald's not Reinhardt. Port Allen is by far the most unprofessional mis-managed group of morons that have no understanding of safety regards to their dumpy wore out over 500,000 mile equipment and have any clue what their drivers put up with. I put it to you this way, if DOT pulled me our trucks over we would be shut down and that's no lie. They also don't like to maintain their trailers they have dents, holes, lights are out and they are disgusting on the inside. Sadly it's a disgrace to their name and image but from what I hear port Allen is by far the worst domicile in the whole corporation and very unprofessional. Maybe elsewhere they are better but who knows. The job is simple just unload carts and carry extra straps to lock them in from movin around. It's easy job but fleet and management is a shame and a disgrace.
