My husband was a local driver for a few years and is looking to go over the road. Is J B hunt a good company to go with? We were thinking about them because they had better insurance than Schneider. Anyone have any experience with JB HUnt?

He picked up waste tires at walmarts in several neighboring states. He was home every night. I'm not sure what sort of over-the-road he was looking for. I think he wanted home every weekend. I don't know what linehaul is? What companies would you recommend?

My hubby just signed with Roehl but they seem promising. But they require the driver to be out at least two weeks and then be home but I don't think they can guarentee weekends.

When you are OTR it is a good idea to stay out at least two weeks beacause it will enable you or the driver to get into a loop and turn the mile. The only exception is if you are on a dedicated account that affords weekends off...

J.B. HUNT - Lowell, Ar.? With all I've read about JB HUNT on this site, I have a thought. It seems like at one time they were a company that relied on school mill drivers to drive their trucks. Then they did away with that. And now it seems they cant easily get drivers who want to work for them. Are they going to go back to using inexperienced drivers to fill their seats in the future?
