One of our drivers recently quit them to come work for us. He said they require you to stay out for 3 weeks now ( at least here in Indiana ) but said they were not a bad company overall. Thats all i can tell you. Hope it helps.

Miller expects a company driver to stay out about a week, After 6 days, a driver can request time off and the company works them in. 7-10 days is an average turn. This is the same for O/O's. If an O/O is not working, he is not generating revenue so most work thru a weekend and take the following off. If a driver stays out three weeks, its by their choice.

I'm leased to Miller Transporters and they are one of the better companies that I have worked for in my 30 years on the road.
Last year I averaged 8643 miles/month # $1.75 per running odometer mile to the truck. This year that figure has dropped to 7734 miles/month # $1.40 per running odometer mile to the truck.
We were very slow for the first quarter of the year until the company laid off 15 % of their lease operators and have been playing catch up ever since.
Rates have definitely dropped this year and the FSC is less because fuel is cheaper. We are working steady and hopefully next year will be back to normal. The only company driver terminals we have are in
East St. Louis, IL, Memphis, TN, El Dorado, AR. and Mobile, AL.
We are in the process of switching over to Qualcom Electronic Logs and safety is a high priority with this company.
Obviously, you do not get "big miles" pulling tankers and make a lot of your revenue for loading/unloading and other accessories.

They are doing some hiring out of some terminals.
We have terminals in Channelview, TX. Beaumont, TX. Baton Rouge, LA. Mobile, AL. Morrow, GA.(Atlanta) Savannah, GA. Orangeburg, SC. Greensboro, NC. Nitro, WV.(Charleston) Richmond, IN. Lansing, IL. East St. Louis, IL. Memphis, TN. and El Dorado, AR.
I think they want you to live within 200 miles of a terminal.
I go out for anywhere from 2-6 weeks but have a friend that runs out of Channelview, TX. that is home almost every wknd.
We are licensed for all of the lower 48 and Canada. but most time is spent in the area east of I35 and between Florida and New Jersey on the East Coast.
Where you run has a lot to do with where you live.
Some terminals have a lot of dedicated runs where you come back empty.
My terminal doesn't so I run the system and try and stay running a triangle between SC, TX, IL.
You don't have to have tanker experience to work here, I didn't.

Allan M do you know what kind of work the Savannah terminal does ? Dedicate or just system like you all up in Carolina. Are they still doing a lot of the Port OF Savannah ? Can't say enough bad things about the Port of Savannah

They do both dedicated and system. I loaded beside one of their drivers today in Port Newark, NJ. and we're both headed to the same place in Morris, IL.
I've done a dedicated out of their terminal on a genset trailer up to Ohio and I know they have other dedicated runs for the same customer Arizona Chemical.
I always see tank containers stacked up in the yard there but never see anyone pulling them so I doubt they do a lot out of the Port Of Savannah.
They would likely have local guys go in there anyways.
