Well I'm going to probably have to work on that. I can lift 50 but waist high....and thats still almost half my body weight. I couldn't get 50lbs and higher than that...I may have to practice with some dumbells or somethin to practice. Thanx a lot for the info and you be safe out there. I faxed my app yesterday, so maybe...we'll see.

Hey shortcut..I talked with Mike C and hes willing to wait until I'm good to go. I have to have eye surgery in Aug and I want to be good. It sounds real promising. I have cataracts and so my confidence got shook a little. But its goin to be great with the tech they have now. I was hoping (if you have time) we could hook up at TA exit 88 on I44. I live on south side, and if ur willing to take the chance u could let me know when ur comin through and I could shoot over there. See inside of the truck and stuff. I know its like ridin a bicycle....LOL but Ive been off for a year and I want to boost myself. Sound like u can do that?

So as a new driver walking in the door. I'd ask to start at anything to get on that run. Lets face it, not many driving jobs in Florida.

Filling out a form and waiting is not the way to get a GOOD job. -
I have gotten several offers from different companies through EDP. They are a third party that represents various companies who pay them commission to find them drivers. Basically, one application could send you many referrals. If it works like others, you would first be employed by them, to a permanent position, where, if you liked it, you would then officially sign on with the company itself, after the probationary period. If you don't like it, at that time, they could move you over to afgernother company they represent, if you wanted without changing employers. Just helps cut back on hiring headaches for individual companies. Hope that makes sense.

There are legit driving staffing agencies. I worked for one called road dog drivers in the past, I mostly did smart and final for them, paid 18 an hr with ot after 8 and double time after 12. They even guaranteed you 6 hours pay if smart and final didnt have work for you that day. They had other assignments too and offered me several temp to hire positions
