Liberty Transportation, New Alexandria, PA
There's a new (well, new to me anyway) company out doing the "Lease purchase" gimmick.
Liberty Transportation. Ads in the local paper say you can "lease" their straight trucks with a "worry-free maintenance plan" to deliver appliances for Sears.
Or, you can go OTR being a lease driver. I have a friend of mine who is doing the OTR lease thing now. So far, she has run a tire load (Drop & Hook, thankfully), and is now doing a window load (driver assist, 3-4 pick ups, 4-5 stop offs).
I am trying to get the details from her for sure, but she said they do not pay scales, tolls, or anything that most companies will pay for. Rather ridiculous I think.....
Anyway, if anyone has any information they wish to throw my way, I would appreciate it. I will keep up to date on how she is doing. Who knows? This could be a great place!!.....Yeah, I know...Last edited by truckdriver402; 07.17.2009 at 09.37 AM. Reason:: spelling

Quick update...Friend of mine is now on a broker load with TWENTY STOPS to Rent-a-Center's throughout Jersey, Connecticut, and New York. She is getting paid $2700 or so (bear in mind this is a "lease purchase") for two weeks. Plus, she says Liberty does not reimburse tolls.
