Check my earlier post in this thread for some alternatives. RB Browns has a great rep but I think it can be hard to get on. Sherman Bros. always seems to be advertising for drivers, which bothers me a bit. If it is a really good place to work they should have a waiting list.

I did just recently notice something about Stidham; They have a lot of older trucks pulling for them. Either these are guys that have paid off the lease & kept working for them or they are re-selling the same trucks over & over.

Living in Eugene you have tons of options if you are a qualified driver.

Good company overall. The shop is a little "slow" but the oFfice staff is friendly, they got my husband ok hometime and fair pay with benefits.

So I just went to orientation with stidham just this past week, nothing too wrong with them, but they do seam to be a tad on the dinky side, nothing too crazy ( The truck I was taking had 3 trailer tires as drives ) they dont keep track of the maintenance, even as company driver its up to you to get the services done on the truck ( they pay for it, but you have to scedual it and set it all up for no comp on your end, thier tarps are kinda cheap, they just seam to expect alot out of a driver for minimal pay, .33 cpm, no tarp pay, but they do pay you to load, and unload tarp or not, so that kinda balances in the end. The poeple are very nice, and they do accomidate you well while in orientation, very small outfit, only 60 trucks, and about 50 drivers or so. They have high CSA scores in logs, but the equipment is in good shape, I personally wasnt interested, but they have just as many positives as they do negetives, but there isnt a perfect company out there, if your expecting perfection from a trucking company you are in the wrong industry.

I didn't want to start an new thread, so bumping this one since I searched :)

Anybody recently or presently working for them? I applied but heard nothing back. I've read the reviews and posts. And it seems its always the "one-post-wonder" that has something negative to say.

Well, I am waiting for the background stuff to come back, so may hopefully start at Stidham in the next week or so as a company driver.
Everybody in the office I have talked to seems to be friendly and know their stuff, and they are getting several new trucks soon, don't really know much more about them yet, other than driving by and hearing people around town (good reports, though from community not drivers).

I will try to remember to update this thread with a current report later!
