Some of you old timers will like em cuz they run you more than you can log legally. As long as you can log it you can run it. The turn around in Laredo can sometimes take a while. They don't have any control of when the freight comes across the border. If you dont like the safety regs of some other companies TNI isnt bad if you dont mind driving a ###### volvo at 65 mph. (most are 64 mph with gps).

current team driver (6 months exp. with them and only them so far)
I'll be glad to answer any questions on the company. pros/cons.

They have a relative training program which helped a newbie like me get some exp. It was better to have my dad train me then some stranger. Downside is I have been with them 6 months and they won't give me my own truck.

I would say get your 1yr experience and get out when you can. Continue to play with snakes and you will eventually get bit. You will never get your own truck they slip-seat. Read the above links if you haven't already

    Good Luck

Okay, if Not Tri-National then which outfit would be okay for a Solo Company
driver that likes driving the South-West; From Dallas to Arizona and California?
Also, I don't mind driving from Laredo up North to Michigan, Wisconsin...etc.
Any good companies out there that anyone would suggest ??? I have been out of
trucking for a little while...I used to Drive for DSW Out of Tucson , Arizona. However
I am now living in Texas so I would prefer a company that can get me to Texas for off-time.

I don't mind slip seating, I was actually wanting to find another company that slip seats except more stable. I just found out that because I'm in relative training program I won't be getting a raise until 3 yrs. I'm on my way out the door for #### sure. I'm grateful to them for the experience I gained but even though I'm new to trucking I'm sure I can find a better run company. Schneider currently has a run that will get me through the house through the week plus my 34 on the weekends so I'm going to try that. I haven't heard too many good things about schneider but I'm going to try.

~charliemoney~ that is definitely TNI's route. Laredo to michigan. They shouldn't have any prob getting you home. Their bread and butter is JCI (automotive parts) so whereever they are located is where you go.

Read some of the posts under the Schneider threads. They seem to be a pretty good company. I think you will be happy there. JMHO.

schneider was a bust. They require 12 months exp for the position I wanted. Stuck with TNI for for a lil bit longer. I've switched to 1 week on/1 week off in the meantime. Transport America isn't hiring in my area for the 7 on/7 off.
