Woman Suspected of Stealing From Graves

Woman Suspected of Stealing From Graves

Quote:
BOUNTIFUL, Utah (AP) -- A thief made off with so many keepsakes left at the city cemetery police used decoy items to trace the loot - and found it in the backyard of a pregnant, single mother.
"We discovered over 120 stolen items just laying around," Bountiful police Lt. Randy Pickett said. "We believe she's been doing this for a long time, definitely longer than just this year."
The woman was found to be hoarding flowers, plant baskets, wind chimes, stuffed animals and coins - "anything sentimental" left at grave sites, police Sgt. Sol Oberg said Friday.
Detectives used a flower pot and a lamp as "bait" to trace the missing goods. The woman's lawyer let police search her yard but not the house. She refused to make any statement to police.
Police will post pictures of the missing items at the Bountiful Cemetery and wait for people to claim them before a prosecutor files charges, Oberg said.

We had something like that here - the theives were younger guys, but they took the stuff they stole to a LOCAL flee-market to sell it! I say local, because we live in a VERY small community, everyone knows everyone, someone who's things where taken was at the flee-market and called the cops! Some people are so stupid!!
