Man hunted in Arizona for rape of dog: police Police in the southwestern US state of Arizona are hunting a man linked to the rape and torture of a Jack Russell Terrier, a statement said Wednesday. Maricopa County Sheriff Deputies launched an investigation after the one-year-old dog was dropped off at an animal hospital near Phoenix suffering from burns to its ears and internal injuries. Sheriff deputies tested the dog with a rape kit and a veterinarian who examined the animal said its injuries were consistent with rape. Police have appealed for information about a man seen driving a truck near the animal hospital shortly before the dog was abandoned.
