Nopark UK: License To Smoke?

Quote:
Smokers could be forced to pay £10 for a permit to buy tobacco if a government health advisory body gets its way.

No one would be able to buy cigarettes without the permit, under the idea proposed by Health England.

Its chairman, Professor Julian Le Grand, told BBC Radio 5 Live the scheme would make a big difference to the number of people giving up smoking.

But smokers' rights group Forest described the idea as "outrageous", given how much tax smokers already pay.

Sad, but true! Hell, we are ALMOST Socialist now as it is. I figure it won't be long before the "mark of the beast" makes its debut! I think WWIII has to happen first before that can come about though as people will be so desperate, they will allow almost anything then...and ONLY then will "peace" be sought...then it all will come down...we are CLOSE now to be sure. When will we need a permit to take a dump or flush our toilets? Maybe we will need a license to pick our noses before long? Wonder how much the license would be to eat the pickin though...hmmmmm. I mean think about it...our toilets get clogged all the time now because Congress, in their infamous stupidity, decided to regulate the GPM on them where even a darn booger gets clogged trying to BARELY go down, yet the politicians who made the law have toilets the would suck a cat down it. Sigh, we are getting ridiculous anymore. It's ABSURD.

Right, like another stupid law/tax is suddenly going to make smokers give it up. They are smoking because they want to smoke, and getting taxed up the wazoo because they are easy targets. We are demonizing an entire population of people just because it is the socially acceptable thing to do.
