Angry 'Cheap' Gas Price Incites Tempers, Lines

INDIANAPOLIS -- Motorists jockeyed for position, honked their horns and screamed at each other as lines lengthened for a chance to fill their tanks at a relatively cheap price on Indianapolis' south side Wednesday night.

As many stations set their price for regular unleaded at $3.85 a gallon, a Swifty station sat at $3.55.

Lines stretched down the street for a bargain that only months ago would have been inconceivable.

Whats funny is the avarage family blows so much on fast food
That to go crazy at saving .30 cents is funny

EXACTLY! I cannot believe what I am seeing these days. Yea, go to McDonald's and spend $20 on lunch, and go wild trying to save $2 worth of gas on a fill up, WTF? Most Americans really worry me these days if they are THAT stupid. I mean that is scary really. Times are getting worse, what happens next?

I see it everyday, Wise....a lot of people are THAT damn stupid.

Now, if they were savin' 50 cents a gallon, I could understand it.
But they'd probably be shootin' each other if the savings were that much.
Might be good for the gene pool though,

I had a similar conversation yesterday, with the girl who runs the register at my regular fuel stop (car). I was getting breakfast, not gas

Their price was .05 a gallon HIGHER than the guys across the street. Customers are always lined up 3 and 4 deep, across the street.

I told her, I didn't care if they were .10 a gallon higher than the folks across the street. It saved me $10 worth of aggrevation, to stay OUT of the place....it was a Pilot.

Sometimes I wonder, "Am I the only person here, that took math in school?"

My car holds 20 gallons. Even at .10 a gallon, I've only saved $2, meanwhile the 50 idiots across the street have burned .50 (or more) of gas, waiting in line with the A/C on. Then wasted 30 minutes to save that tiny amount.

I've got better things to do with my time and money. Although it may be hard to tell from my activity within this forum LOL
