Man 'Stressed Out' by Hurricane Katrina Man 'Stressed Out' by Hurricane Katrina Admits Leaving Dad's Dead Body in House Tuesday, July 08, 2008 Quote: METAIRIE, La. — The owner of a house where bones were found in a bed says the skeleton was his father's. Leroy Adams, 81, died of natural causes, possibly Alzheimer's disease, said Lon Adams, 58. He said he cannot remember just when his father died, and doesn't know why he didn't report the death. "I couldn't deal with it so I just left him there," Adams said Monday, fighting back tears. "I blocked it out of my mind. I was stressed out after Katrina. Sounds like his stress was way before Katrina... Not just his military service but taking care of his father who had alzheimer's and taking care of a mentally handicapped son... Sad story
