Virginia Man Charged with Indecent Exposure in His Home
Heard this on the radio this week. Cannot believe it.

A Springfield man is facing indecent exposure charges after police say he stood naked inside his home as a 7-year-old boy and his mother walked by.
Twenty-nine-year-old Eric Williamson denies any wrongdoing and says any exposure was accidental.
"Yes, I wasn't wearing any clothes but I was alone, in my own home and just got out of bed. It was dark and I had no idea anyone was outside looking in at me," Williamson told MyFoxDC.com in his defense. "I'm a loving dad — any of my friends would tell you that," Williamson said. "There is not a chance on this planet I would ever, ever do anything like that to a kid."

It's a misdemeanor...pay the friggin fine, buy yourself a Happy Meal, sit down and STFU.

It's not like he will have to be put on a sex offenders list.

And because a kid saw him he'll probably be registered as a sex offender. It's sad. That's why I live out in the county so no one can see me running around naked chasing deer during the full moon!

Exposure is a sexual offence requiring him to now register as a sexual offender. Do not just pay the fine he has no option but to fight it all the way

If the mother had just walked by and not made an issue of it, no one would have thought anything of it -- including the child. But Mom has to go and open her big mouth, tell her son how wrong it is and how he'll be scarred for life, and she makes it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Yes, but this village idiot has the task of educating people.

What's the principle? I keep my curtains drawn at my house. Especially at night, when I AM prone to walking through the house naked.

If the guy, was standing in the doorway exposing himself. He's an idiot or a perv. In which case he deserves the charge.....see I read the article, I saw the doorway comment. I didn't post a comment based on a half baked opinion.

Paying the fine, will prevent further criminal charges from being dropped on his head. For exposing himself to a minor.

Pay the fine...STFU.

No, not in Virginia. Unless he has a history of exposing himself. then it can be elevated to registry.

Indecent Exposure is treated differently, depending on the state. And further segmented by some, by the number of repeat offenses.
