| GIVE ME A BREAK~ schools are NOT parents. Whatever my kids did OUT of and at NON school activities was only MY business. These people cant control what those kids DO IN SCHOOL, maybe if they concentrated on that kids would get an education.

| When we go into school it's like prison they strip us of our rights. It's ok for a while until they start talking sheit last year a teacher told me i wouldn't get anywhere in life just because i was being the class clown. It gets to a point where we can't stand it and they talk down to you just because they have a college education yea cool and all but don't shove it in my face and when they do something wrong i tell them who went to college me or you? Get's them everytime and i know when to catch them. |

| so useing this district's method, students could theroreticly be suspended for such behaivors as a family duck hunting outing?.....hey it involves a deadly weapon what happens in school they can deal with (and i'll handle it afterward), what happens out of school is my job to deal with |

| +1 to what everyone said. Schools and administrators need to be brought off this power trip they are on. I had a friend get called a "slave driver" for making her daughter study.

Union, in a federal lawsuit filed last week on behalf of the girls, argues that Churubusco High School violated the girls' free speech rights when it banned them from extracurricular activities for a joke that didn't involve the school. They say the district humiliated the girls by requiring them to apologize to an all-male coaches' board and undergo counseling.
