lots of work available in ND but litterally no housing so if you go in spring bring your own home(travel trailer) it's deffinatly who you know in order to get housing..I'm home for the winter in order to get things wrapped up then I will be back in the spring..I will tell you "I LOVE IT" some of the roads you travel are quite exillerating and not for the faint of heart but for me it was fun..there were times I'd have to wait at the top of one hill to see if the guy before would make it to the top before I could go..lol..what a blast..I haul production and fresh water..I like fresh water best..the H2S gives me a head ache and the smell stays in your nose for ever it seems..but there are some great companies to work for there and not so great so do your research..but you WILL LOVE THE PAY CHECKS..
So you want to haul crude oil in the badlands of ND?

I work for Power Fuels so that's the only one I can comment on..they are great as far as I'm concerned and that everyone from office staff to dispatch to truckers..trainees start at $15.00 hr and you train any where from 2 to 3 weeks or longer if needed after training depending on what you haul it will either be hrly or percentage..FW is hrly based on 12 hr shifts with the truck making $130.00 an hr and your reseive 18% of that to start..I wouldn't suggest starting in the winter due to the roads(very roller coasty at times) I had to put chains on 6 times last week and 3 of those times were in one day because you can't travel the main roads with chains unless it's snow covered but all the back roads and sites are all snow covered..but if your used to driving truck in those conditions they certainly need you..I'm only home because I'm going to move there and it's to hard to move in the winter and I need to get things organized..I have a son 4 horses 2 dogs a cat and 2 goaty babies....so I will go back around April when things aren't as harsh and the wind is HARSH believe me..the only thing that kept my hard hat on was the winter liner.. -
He might be running a hopper bottom (grain trailer) but I have never seen anyone haul frac sand in a belly dump. Unless they can dump the belly dump over a below ground loading facility. Who knows what they have going on over there I guess. Stranger things have happened. Not sure why I keep putting my 2 cents in. Carry on...
