I refuel Frac pump engines on location and these guys are Fracing every hole in the ground here in West Texas!!! They need equipment operators, Wireline, Sand, Water, Acid, Diesel, Crude, and misc drivers to haul stuff like Rigs etc! The only people with a CDL not working is those people who don't want to work!
-
I've never done this line of work before and wondering. If someone could give me the hourly rate and/or if it's on a percentage of the load ? What should I be looking for in pay rate ? I talked to a company in Poteet, TX and quoted me 18% of the load. I have no idea if this is good or bad.

Have you found any work for the trucks? I need to buy a truck and trailer any ideas?
-
I've heard 20% of a load on Frac sand but I also heard an O/O getting paid 20/hr (wife owned the truck). I'm on location now but no sand trucks yet. The next time I get I hit one up for some more info.

I don't really have any info on the frac hauling itself, but let me just say I haul fuel in the west texas eastern new mexico region, and right now the oil field is booming. Just like Svoray said if you have a cdl in this area and aren't working you just don't wana work!! And it's not hazmat only type work, you got rig haulers, water haulers, ect. Like I said I haul fuel and it seems like at times we can't keep up with all the demand of clear and dyed diesel for all the big trucks an oil field work in this area.
-
Anyhow, you're right about the keeping up with demand and diesel. Our yard was out of clear/green diesel the other day and I can't count how many times our transport drives has came back empty saying the refinery didn't have any diesel in the lines. -

I drove for Joe brown out of Ardmore, Ok. great co. good pay 20 percent of load and hourly when on hold. paychecks were like 2500 take home sometimes less others. it depends on how hard you wanna run.
